Dude...

Where is the sound?

Oh yeah, I am sure you’re wondering where the soundude.com came from. Well I actually did audio productions for many many years.

Started "back in the day" as the youngsters would say when I was wet behind the ears yet knew everything there was to know in the world...ha, yeah right!

Anyway my brother and I had a band, he played guitar and I played drums and also had to set the pa and lighting gear up at every gig. After doing gigs for a year or so I got pretty good at what I was doing, not the drumming, the system setup and tweaking. We had a lot of fun, weren't that bad but not that good either, actually it is humorous to go back and listen to some of the recordings. Man how things have changed.

A few years later a band that was pretty popular in our area needed a production guy to go on the road and thus it began, I was the soundude, master of mission control as they use to say, and again we had some fun. Sadly many of those whom I worked with have since passed on and haven't seen what I do now, well they have if you believe in the spirit, but not physically.

A few years later a friend and I had a production company for many years and worked with dozens national touring acts that would come through our area and by the time I got out of the business had acquired a pretty good reputation of being the "soundude" of the area...thus the domain name, soundude.com, and just thought it was cool, nothing to do with graphics, who knows one day when I retire I might get back into it.
